The Beauty Chef Glow Inner Beauty Powder review

In a never-ending attempt to prove to myself that my skin isn’t getting dull and my hair isn’t thinning, I spend a lot of my free time researching products and methods to reduce these very inevitable signs of growing older. It’s funny because I really don’t mind the idea of getting older. I love my smile lines, think there’s a lot to be said about a long life well lived (however that means to you!), and am the first person to celebrate a birthday. But after years of mistreating my hair and skin (hello, over-bleaching and partying Wednesday through Sunday in uni), I think nutrient-dense foods are king in rejuvenating and maintaining the health of your hair and skin.

I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’re hearing this, but science suggests outer-health begins within. What you eat can really affect the internal happenings in your body, and maintaining a healthy gut directly affects overall health. Don’t get me wrong, I still love wine and a cheeky takeaway when we can’t be bothered to cook, but I’ve been more focused on fueling my body with food that makes it feel its best.

As someone who has always struggled with gut health, probiotics are a very familiar world for me so it wasn’t shocking when The Beauty Chef Glow Inner Beauty Powder kept coming up in my research.

THE BEAUTY CHEF GLOW INNER BEAUTY POWDER REVIEW

With 18 organic whole foods, including fermented maqui berries, queen garnet plum, pomegranate fruit peel extract and vitamin C, this powder helps boost collagen production and zinc (which support healthy hair and nails!). This ‘supercharged formula’ also uses provitamin A, broad-spectrum B vitamins, prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics to feed the good bacteria in the gut.

With a potent fermentation process, this powder really does pack a punch, giving you a glow from the inside out. Made up of antioxidants, microalgae and provitamins, not only does this it support skin health, it also helps your immune system and boosts collagen production (crucial in maintaining youthful skin!).

Having used this product for three months, I feel like I’m familiar enough to give a thorough review. So here’s the million dollar question: does it work?

Yes. I’ll admit when I first purchased this powder, I was hopeful it wouldn’t be that impressive. After using it the first time (and having that first taste), I was extra-hopeful it wouldn’t work. Boy, was I wrong. Within two weeks of consistent use (mixing one teaspoon with a cup of water), I found this inner glow powder to be ultra-effective (confirming the 4.8 star rating). My skin appeared clearer, bouncy and balanced. I’m not one for foundation, but I would feel totally confident not even wearing my tinted moisturiser these days.

Even my hair is eating up this miracle powder. I find I’m losing less strands in the shower, and it seems shinier and stronger than before. Pro tip: as this glow powder is fermented with pre, pro and postbiotics, I always keep it in my fridge.

Literally the only gripe I have with The Beauty Chef Glow Inner Beauty Powder is the taste and my inability to combine it with water properly. I don’t know if it’s just me (and it could be, based on reviews!) but for some reason the flaxseed-esque powder seems impossible to combine without remnants floating at the top.

The taste is a whole other experience. Initially it’s sweet with a hint of black licorice in the middle and finishes with a tangy sour berry taste. I won’t lie, I usually chug this in one drink while plugging my nose, and my reaction is akin to shooting tequila. This drink is on another level – but then, so is my skin when I’m using it consistently so will I repurchase? Likely yes. My skin is literally radiant when it’s a regular part of my routine. That said, I may do a bit more research to see if I can find something just as effective (and more affordable) that doesn’t taste quite so potent. I’ll keep you posted.

  1. I just started using this powder, and love it! I’m so picky about taste and texture when it comes to supplements, especially powdered ones like this – I’ve never been able to drink more than a couple sips of protein shakes. Blech! However, I mix this in with a daily smoothie and have no issues drinking it down! I don’t know if you are a smoothie girl, but maybe give that a shot! I barely notice it that way!

    1. Thank you so much for reading and sharing this tip, Karissa! I 100% agree with you that this powder absolutely works (and is worth the pain even if just mixing it with water). That’s a great tip, however! I’m going to try mixing it into my smoothie tomorrow. I’m embarrassed I hadn’t thought of this myself. Thank you again for reading!
