Welcome to kristathurrott.com! I’m Krista, a self-professed morning person, Chicago enthusiast and beauty junkie. I love a lot of things – see: pizza, (sometimes) working out, cozy sweaters and travel – and this small space on the internet is an outlet to talk about some of those things.
Previously working as a Senior Creative Content Manager for two British beauty brands, I’ve been blessed by the skincare and cosmetic gods with the daily task of trialling trend products, testing out prototypes pre-launch and building narratives around those that make the cut. In the last 10 years I’ve lived in Canada, America (twice) and the United Kingdom, and my unwavering investment in seeing the world, experiencing new cultures and sharing my favorite things along the way hasn’t changed.
When I’m not writing or perusing the beauty aisle (much to the displeasure of my husband), I’m usually scribbling down to-do lists, urging my mom and sister to try my new favorite product or planning my next trip. In fact, I’m so confident in my favorite things, whenever I fly home to Canada, my bags are usually brimming with products to share with those at home.
